As others have said, this hardly deserves to be called a review. Avoid
over-summarising, don't rant on about yourself and put some decent unbiased
content in every field. Also when writing the review remember not everyone has
seen the anime or even know what your talking about half the time.
Either rewrite this to a decent standard or it will be removed after 24 hours.
I've been interested in this one for a while now and been intent on getting it,
this review has tempted me to try harder, save for your comments on the ending.
I really hate it when a season doesn't tie itself up nicely and am quite bored
with cliff-hangers by now, yet it appears the base content is solid enough to
make it worth while. (Also a theme by ali-project......take me!) Also the
heavier themes in this one seem to be a good change from things I've been
watching recently.
I've been looking at this one on the store shelves for a fair time now and
lightly playing with the idea of getting it. If I wasn't watching my spending I
may have got it already but seeing this review pop up has reassured me it's
money best saved.
To be honest I'm not sure, I'd say go straight to the remake. I saw the original
3 or 4 years ago so there was a big break between when I saw the two. I do
believe seeing the original first will enhance how you perceive the remake
however at the same time if you watched them too close together it would
probably seem redundant.
For your first review this is fantastic! Your obviously a high intellectual .
Although I haven't played the game and probably wont I will happily comment on
your review. I like your style of reviewing, it's of high content but at the
same time you manage to throw in plenty of personal opinion without creating
excessive bias, your also game enough to give more realistic scores on the
actual sections, rather than just saying 10 for everything cause I like
it.
The fight is on. Having now seen haruhi through I think it was very over-rated
but I still think it's hilarious that the show is half monologue. Definately an
accurate review, the show had it's great moments but the plot fell short,
especially the ending. I like the way you point out how they appeal to every
persons little love (or fetish) and It's the 'moments' that make this anime
worth watching.
I was amazed at the two songs 'god knows' and 'lost my music' and it would be
interesting to know exactly what the producers were trying to achieve
throughout. At the same time there were completly dead parts (ep 9 I think).
Also the manner in which the episodes are shuffled around, I'm one who thinks
this worked against the show. Unfortunately I wouldn't really recommend this
anime after seeing it through but each to his own opinion.
This is an OK review however I think you focus to much on what's there and what
you want there. What you should do in a review more is look at what's there and
what was suppose to be there, in other words try not to throw your opinion in to
much for the scoring. Also remember to reflect on the times, love hina is fairly
old these days and it's easy to say it's like so many others, although i don't
think it was at the time.
I love your review, especially the part about moe culture. I figured there would
be something along the lines of that kind of culture in anime and now i know
what it's called . I
think your review is extremely accurate, you've put in words the types of things
i thought when i watched it. Although it did lack a few things as far as
storyline goes it turned out just the way it should have. I highly enjoyed it
because it was mostly pure and innocent, even though there were pervert jokes,
it still remained clean.
Been a while since i watched this one. I also found it very enjoyable and i also
noted the great similarities it had to cowboy bebop. Both involves almost broke
bounty hunters travelling the solar system picking up travellers, both had to
work for meals. Episode structure was also similar, that some were plot based
and some were completly random (but still enjoyable). The major difference being
that gene uses a gun as his main assault.
I have to agree with your pre-idea. I've seen the name honey and clover and
wondered what it was about and have been very tempted to start downloading it.
After reading this review i think that i might go home and get it down. Cheers
for a great review and also inpiring me to get it. By the way do you know if
it's just the one season of 24 episodes?
I don't have much to say cause i haven't seen the series however i've been
thinking about getting my hands on it. After reading this review, i'm definately
going to. Cheers for the inspiration to actually be bothered getting it :P
I watched the first season of this however i found it overly boring and still
haven't been able to bring myself to watching the spring season, probably cause
i'm a guy at a co-ed school. I can understand how people would enjoy it as it is
highly original however i still think it is fairly empty in the plot and to
likewise overly simple. I honestly don't think this would get licensed in the US
as although it's original it wouldn't grab enough customers to make it
financially worth while for anyone. Still we'll wait and see.
Although i didn't like the series myself i still say nice job on the review
(just try to be gentle with the 10's :P)
For an anime about dolls i must say i too was greatly surprised at how much i
enjoyed it. You do need to be a little open mided to watch it but most anime
fans dont need to be asked to be open minded me thinks :P I think maybe the art
was a little over-rated but i'ld need to go back and rewatch it to be more
critical, however the voices i can agree with. I hope this series isn't dubbed
because i dont think english voices would be capable or creating the same
atmospheres as they do.
I'm watching traumend now and i have to say i've become really confused as to
who is playing with who and not much makes sense yet but we'll keep watching and
see whats really going on. Cheers for a great review
I think there was different opening music for each month that it was aired over,
as well as a different voice actor for each of the 31 girls, wasteful? Maybe but
I agree with you though that the music was fantastic, especially the fast paced
ones.
I also agree that the animation itself left me very, very disappointed. They
make Asunas eyes look really strange in the anime and i also find that there are
certain parts where everyones heads and bodies look completly different to other
parts, they look almost drafted, or is that just me?
I haven't reads the fan translated manga so i'm only up to date with the english
released ones. I thought a few episodes were really useful such as the ghost
girl Sayo. The whole part with Asuna dying kinda surprised me too. Was that or
will that be apart of the manga as well. On a side note I found many important
things were half left out. Some things they show seem to be directed at people
who have read the manga, none come to mind right now but things that seem to
point at bits of story from the manga that where ignored in the series.
