Not many walls I see become instant backgrounds on my computer, but this one qualified. Colourful, groovy and plenty of room around the edges for where I usually keep my icons. In my perspective, an ideal and practical desktop! Keep up the awesome work and favs for you.

f

There's something slightly disturbing about her body proportions but I love it. Ditto yay for 1st anniversary! To respond to your ponderings her eyes are really quite freaky, but still adorable; her head seems a little large but it matches the eyes; the way you've made the hands is better; I would say the folds on her skirt are well done as well (then again I can't draw) and I wouldn't use the word flat. Overall great job!

f

I recently finished watching Kaleido Star and have been looking for an awesome wallpaper to use for a while.....THIS IS IT!

It's impressive that was all done by vector and even though you say everything is out of place, I think it's perfect. Dreams aren't straight forward and neither would a circus be. I find having the stars on strings was great because it shows how easily you can reconstruct the world. I haven't made many favourites recently however this wall is deserving, good work!

f

Every so often there's a wallpaper that catches your attention more than others and I must say this is one of them for me. The image definitely catches the essence of all the character in Ouran and your redrawing of it is excellent. The main image does appear slightly coarse however you have followed it over to the background adding to the wall as a whole.

Your plan of making the wall have the fairytale theme worked well, the carriage alone is enough to convey this however when I look at the musical gates my mind skips to the song "Mata Ashita!" from the second OST X-P If there was an image that needed to represent Ouran I feel this is it and I'm throwing a fav your way as well.

f

This would probably be the first habanero-tan wallpaper I've seen on MT and I'm very greatlful for it X-P It amazes me how you can use so many layers to create something that looks like it would have less however the quality you've produced is more than satisfying, whatever secrets you've used you've done a good job.

Her panties are a bit more exposing than they should be however I enjoy the habanero web comics and this wallpaper impresses me enough to deliver a fav, keep up the awesome work!

f

Most of the art and such from the first series was crap so seeing such a great wallpaper is a surprise, it also has a completly different feel than other walls and avoids the typical 'happy/magical' aspect of negima. Top marks for originality! 'cause it's great to see the more serious side revealed.

The roughed texture is effective in pushing the grungy feel of the wall and looks great, save for the sky in the top left which seems a little overdone, perhaps just more obvious in that area. Besides that I only compliment the elements lying around as they all collectively create the myterious atmosphere, the shadows used across asuna especially.

This wall feels very unique in the negima field and I fav it for bringing out the serious side, good work!

f

I'm surprised I fell in love with a wall with so much purple on it, however its great in creating an excessively serene effect, a peaceful wall like this is much needed in my stressful life right now X-P. You've managed to cleverly throw in many solar objects such as the falling stars and moon along with smoke and moutains and birds, what I want to compliment on is the way you've put them together in the background so that it looks good, but doesn't look like your just showing how many things you can have.

The titles great and compliments the scan nicely however I think she's a little bit to far to the side and draws your eyes away from the work done on the left (I guess at the same time she reveals more of it as well). I'm curious if the snow wasn't in the foreground would the same effect have been achieved......either way I love it and reward a beautiful work with a fav!

f

I'm a sucker for the Uta walls, and the fact that I fell in love with one without any of my fav characters shows there's also something about the wall itself ;) it really is adorable! The wall looks simple in nature but the composition holds just enough elements to look simple, but not plain. I say that's mainly the little shrub there.

A touch of earth, a touch of purple....I'm not sure what to say that you wouldn't already know but the work with shadows and light seems impressive in my view, whether it was completly intentional? Although it's not a word I use a whole lot I say CUTE! and award a fav.

f

At a first glance I thought this was pretty funky but the original scan being from Green Green shocked me, you did an awesome job warping it to something completly different, cool and original.

The work on the scans is obviously the focus of this and having a fairly plain background has worked for this, ensuring the focus isn't drawn away, however the background seems to look a little random. I think it might have looked better if you didn't have the texture run over the characters and just run across the background to make them stand out a bit more.

The wall you've created has a punk/rebel feel about it, completly different from typical green green styles, I love it and award a fav!

f

Showing the screenshot really emphasises the amount of work that would have gone into this. At first I found the art in Honey & Clover to be kinda weird but got use to it, if you want to promote the art with this wall I'd say you did a good job. Somehow this makes that scene look really solemn (more so than I remember anyway).

This wall gives off a nice feeling, maybe because I know the atmosphere behind it but either way I like it will fav it.

f

I'm always a big fan of a good concept and this wall has a great funky feel to it, I'm a lover of music so I always enjoy walls with the headphones as well. Although the graphics don't look extremely difficult (trying not to degrade the effort you put in X-P) the composition is what really makes this stand out for me.

I have to comment on that chair, it looks strange however it appears to produce music at the same time.........I'm strangely fascinated. Back to the point this wall has a fresh appeal and is getting a fav from me, keep it up.

f

This is just so spectacular, funny, (insert multiple glorifying adjectives!) and the concept alone gives the wall an A+. At a first glance the wallpaper is funny and if I didn't read your comment I may even have missed spike in the reflection but that edition makes this a serious laugh out loud. Within the glorifying of the concept I'm not going to ignore the artistic aspects.

From your comment and the wall it looks like you've achieved exactly what you planned to do and I'm surprised at the harmony between having a real world reflection in the window and maintaining the anime feel. Also great job on getting spike out of the window scan, showing the original makes your efforts twice as recognised :D. My only critism would be that it appears that Spike himself has become slightly transparent in the reflection.

I've never actually been aware of seeing a starbucks before but regardless I like the look of the logo on the window. A beautiful, highly enjoyable wall and definately a favourite, a favourite among favourites!

Edit: Runs to DA for a resolution my screen will enjoy more X-P

f

I save a fair few wallpapers from MT but this one became an instant desktop background, I like it that much. There are so many things I like I wouldn't know where to start so I'll say the concept seems fairly original with a gothic feel about it.

The eyes freak me out a little but other than that the art is great, it's not excessivly dark or bright and has a solidness to it. I'll throw a fav towards it as well!

f

You've done nice work with the shadows in this wall, I had to turn my lights on and off and move around to see if it was just my room or actually the wall and it's impressive. The wall as well and creates the feeling of one of those optical illusion walls.....covered in blood.

As sadistic as it is I agree it's rather amusing seeing bunnies becoming violent. Pity you didn't win W.A.R. but as conselation I'll give a fav X-P

f

I still freak out at the length of their limbs, but it's Honey-kun! This is very decent for a freehand work and even though you can see the way the objects have been made separately and put together, it adds to the creditability of being made from scratch, the grass is good in helping pull the objects together, I really do like the way you've worked with the grass.

The pond is good although it's I find the colour is a bit to dark, mainly compared to the sky which it would be reflecting. You'd probably hate me for saying this but the sakura trees look a little bare in the background.

(Hopefully helpful) criticism aside a soft, happy (honey-kun agrees X-P) wallpaper that's good on the eyes and well.....just so happy!

f

I always love the orange walls and this is definately my favourite suzumiya wall (and given a fav)! The use of colour is great as it combines with her cheeky appearance to create a very happy and fun wall.

The objects and symbols in the background appear rather random but they bring through the spacey aspect of the show. My slight criticism is the shadows on the scan look a little strange, maybe because there doesn't appear to be a light source but I can't quite pick what it is.

All in all tis a beautiful wall so keep up the good work!

f

My favourite colour is orange so I was greatly attracted to just the thumb but the wall itself is no let down, also a nice contrast with her blueish hair. It seems to have almost a rusted effect to it, but this doesn't take away from the quality at all. Its great because the crows (I like crows too X-P) look even more realistic with in the orange tint, also the depth you've created in the image by having the different sizes.

The stained glass window objects (not sure what they really are) are great but I would have suggested using different designs in the middle rather than repeating the same one. The grass at the bottom is nice but it looks thin, as if it should be on ground level when it's at her waist, maybe brushes (grassy, not paint ones). Another question of interest is the very back layer, is that a starfield? It kinda feels like it's sunset and I'm not sure if their suppose to be in the background or an effect over the top (seeing as you can see it through the girl).

I've had my rant now, but there's something about this wall that makes me love it hence I fav yee!

f

I love abstract and this wall takes the cake, on top of that the composition is good. Penguins and fish flying through the air would look weird but you've placed them in a manner that it looks kinda natural, I think it's cause of the blueness of the sky. I think it's the flowers that make it look like it's not actually under water, It's bright and happy and deserves to be in the elite gallery :D

f

You new wallpaper?.....just like you other rip. Look here Air by seeyat2006 and realise that was 63 weeks ago. What even more disgusting is you actually claimed this is your new wallpaper, submitting a rip by accident in one thing but to actually claim it as your own!

f

FLCL walls are rare lately but this one is great. The confusion of the elements matches the title and i like the way in transends from red to yellow to the white flowers. The flowers really seem to completly the wall in my opinion. It's interesting that the area at the top kinda reminds me of the kamikaze flag, with haruko coming out of it, I guess thats more irony.

f

I'm a guy and I'll say that yeah, most guys aren't worth the effort X-P. Must say this wall is beautiful and if your anything like the feel you've given this wall, you'll be fine and easily move on.

Her expression and the way she's turning is just right and the title reflects this, that she will indeed be moving on. I don't know if you meant to create this idea but I think 'the grass is greener' when I see this as there is light on the other side of the hill, also the addition of the doves of peace, she's definately going to advance to a better place.

Composition is perfect and your circumstances really glorifies the atmosphere. Your use of colour and brightness directs attention to the center of the wall and this again emphasise the idea of a path and direction to be travelled. The textures of the sky are interesting, almost abstract and create another majestic layer to the wall. It's serious, it's majestic and it's a fav :D

f

Love the kitty character, but on top of that i love the wall as a whole so don't put yourself down. What really interests me about this wall is the style you've done it in, kind of a watercolour style. I haven't seen a great deal of walls like this (good ones anyway) and don't especially like the style, but i can honestly say i like yours and you've done a great job.

I think you're right in saying to many objects would ruin in, especially text. The most compliments go to the sky, the wave and the sparkles as they seem to make this wall most beautiful. The second moon looks slightly odd to me but i'll let it pass cause everything else is so perfect X-P

f

You've been a member for over 78 weeks according to your userpage yet you don't know the rules?.......no submitting wallpapers that aren't yours. You must have been thinking of scans, you can only submit scans that aren't yours so long as you recognise their source.

f

This is probably one of the best first wallpapers I've seen. If this is what you can make first time i can't wait to see your work in a years time. The scan could have been cleaned up a tiny bit more around some of the edges to make it fit in more smoothly. The interesting effect I enjoy in this wallie is the way half the wall seems blurred and half isn't, it makes all the elements blend in together perfectly. You've also thrown in some abstract, a character and i assume that a real image been filtered and again it looks very well done.
